Redcode Maniacs Tournament Round 7 |
---|
Josh mailed me with:
>Hi, this is Josh Yeager, I was 20th in Round 6 )-: , but I was >wondering; I've got some friends who want to do corewars but they >don't have E-Mail, can I send their submissions in for them?
and I replied:
>Sure -- the rules state one entry per person, not per e-mail address.
Josh and his friends then sent in the following entries for Round 7:
>Here is my warrior: > >;redcode-94 >;name Inferno >;author Josh Yeager >;strategy multipass-bidirectional core clear >;assert 1 > pin 71 >write stp #13,#3
[snip]
>Here is Chris Like's warrior: > >;redcode-94 >;name Vader >;author Chris Like >;assert 1 > pin 71 > jmp load >load ldp #3,#0 > sne load,#13 >bomb dat 0,1
[snip a warrior very similar to Josh's warrior]
Note this will suicide if it finds 13 in pspace location 3, which is placed there by Josh's warrior.
>Here is David Roberson's warrior: > >;redcode-94 >;name Attack! >;author David Roberson >;assert 1 > pin 71 > jmp load >load ldp #3,#0 > sne load,#13 >bomb dat 0,0
[snip Dwarf]
>Here is Justin Kelley's warrior: > >;redcode-94 >;name Tired >;author Justin Kelly >;assert 1 > pin 71 > jmp load >load ldp #3,#0 > sne load,#13 > dat 0,1 > jmp comp
[snip Rave]
>And finally, my little brother's warrior: > >;redcode-94 >;name Defender >;author matt yeager >;assert 1 > pin 71 > jmp load >load ldp #3,#0 > sne load,#13 > dat 0,0
[snip Aeka]
As all these warriors were set up to feed wins to Josh's warrior, and were not really tournament entries in their own right, they were all disqualified (including Josh's warrior, as his cooperation was obviously needed to set this whole thing up).
